Summer Seminar: 7-12 July

The seminar will start on 7th July after dinner with a welcome talk and conclude on 12th July after the morning practice. We ask for your flexibility in allowing for spontaneous changes.

Rinpoche will be teaching seminar participants from 8th to 11th July. He will guide us on the key points of the practices of compassion and Nature of Mind helping us to connect to our innate Buddha nature. Rinpoche will be teaching on the text "Sphere of Refined Gold", a terma revealed by Chokgyur Lingpa with commentary by Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche. This text is the basis for the annual three month retreats at Gomde Pyrenees. Possible empowerments will be announced at a later date. 

We are very happy that Drubpon Lama Tenzin Sangpo and Khenpo Pema Namgyal will also teach, answer questions, and offer instructions that we can immediately put into practice. Each day we will also gather for two group practice sessions in the morning and afternoon.

The official arrival day is the 7th of July after lunch but you are welcome to come earlier, enjoy time with the Sangha, and join our two daily practice sessions. Rinpoche will arrive at Gomde on the 4th of July and will leave on 12th of July. He will take a rest day on 5th of July. We rejoice that Rinpoche will teach the three year retreatants on 6th and 7th July!

Rinpoche often says that Gomde Pyrenees with its remote location and vast views is the perfect place for practicing meditation on Nature of Mind. The days when Rinpoche is teaching the three year retreatants will be ideal to prepare ourselves to receive Rinpoche’s profound instructions.

Translations:

Translations will be offered in English and French. Spanish translation might be available depending on demand.

Prerequisites

The most important prerequisite for attendance is genuine trust and faith in the Dharma and the wish to practice the teachings. It is best if one has taken refuge, previously practiced meditation in the Buddhist tradition for an extended time, and received mind nature teachings previously from Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche or another teacher in the tradition.

Practice Retreat guided by Drubpon Lama Tenzin Sangpo: 12 - 19 July

From 12th to 19th July, Drupon Lama Tenzin Sangpo will lead a structured retreat, which offers a precious time to deepen our practice and internalize the teachings received from Rinpoche. Lama-la will lead daily practices, share advice, and answer practice questions. Participants from previous years highly valued the retreat following Rinpoche's visit. The retreat will start on 12 July  in the evening and end on 19th July at lunch time. We highly encourage you to stay on after 19th July and continue in individual retreat.
